GROUP LAUNCH FAQ

For leaders attending Group Launch

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LAUNCHING YOUR GROUP!

  1. Group members will receive a confirmation email from GC when they register for a group.
  2. You will receive an email containing an updated roster each day that one or more people register for your group.
  3. Your group will remain online until it fills or registration closes on February 5.
  4. All leaders and group members (current and new) should plan to attend the Frist Group meeting.
  5. Review the First Group Meeting Details

Set your group up well by encouraging them to attend the First Group Meeting at your respective Gwinnett Church campus.

 

Gwinnett Church Sugar Hill

Men:
Saturday, February 8, at 4:00 p.m.
Leaders arrive by 3:30 p.m. for check-in and nametag. Be in place by 3:45 p.m.
Wear this shirt if you have it.

Light appetizers will be served.

Women:

You have an opportunity to set the tone for your group before you ever meet. Follow the steps below to help generate excitement for your members and increase the chance of them participating.

  1. As new members sign up for your group, reach out and welcome them. You can create your own email or personalize this sample welcome email we’ve provided.
  2. February 3–5: Send a second email reminding all group members to show up for their First Group Meeting. (GC will send a logistics email to all registered attendees a few days before as well.)
  3. If someone cannot attend the event but would still like to be in the group, please make note in order to reserve their spot on the roster the night of the event.
  4. If someone can no longer be in the group, they should update their registration using the Update Your Registration link in their confirmation email.
  5. Review this info BEFORE attending group launch.

Reinforce the experience of your First Group Meeting by following up with your group.

  1. Send an email to all group members no later than two days after the First Group Meeting. You can create your own email or personalize this sample follow-up email we’ve provided.
  2. If your group did not fill, it will remain open online during our late registration period. If anyone signs up after your first group meeting please reach out to them.
  3. If group members drop before late registration closes please notify us immediately to reopen your group during the late registration period.
