My name is Katya Phillips, and I have been leading the same group of girls through their high school years. I’ve had the honor of being with my girls on the mountaintops and with them in the valleys. When our small group room was full and when only one girl showed up, I was at InsideOut every Sunday night, ready to be a steady and consistent voice for them. I didn’t give up on my girls, and thankfully, they did not give up on the church. Even when it was frustrating and when I was tempted to give up, I pushed through the thoughts of, “Is this worth it?” Now, I get to lead my girls through a bible study every week before InsideOut and help them develop a More Than Sunday faith. Our relationship has strengthened, and each of them have grown in their faith tremendously.
