Participant Registration
For Night to Shine participants signing up to be a buddy, volunteer, or on-site guest
Thank you so much for your interest in participating in Night to Shine at Gwinnett Church. We couldn't do this without the many individuals who volunteer their time to make it happen.
The registration form below is for anyone registering to be a buddy, a volunteer, or an on-site guest.
If you are under the age of 18, you will need to provide a PDF of your parental consent form.
If you are over the age of 18, you will need to provide a copy of your background check. As a courtesy, we have negotiated a discounted rate for background checks, which are available for $7.95 each by filling out a background check request form.
Buddies escort our Kings and Queens for the duration of the event. They make sure our Kings and Queens are comfortable and enjoying this most special evening. Please remain with your Kings and Queens for the duration of the evening.
Dress Code: Formal or semi-formal attire such as gowns and suits is appropriate. Wear comfortable shoes for dancing.
- Guys - No shorts or jeans.
- Ladies - Modest attire that is knee-length.
Age Requirements: We are only accepting buddies age 16 and older.
Schedule: Buddies must arrive by 5:00 p.m. Buddy pairing will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Pairing: If you are under the age of 18, you will be paired with the same gender or you will be a buddy with a friend. If this is your first time being a buddy, please plan on buddying with a friend.
There are a wide variety of volunteers who support the Night to Shine event.
Age Requirements: Anyone participating in Night to Shine must be 14 or older. As we have limited space and liability, under age children are not permitted to accompany volunteers.
Schedule: Volunteers must arrive by 4:45 p.m.
Volunteer Roles: Security, Parent Hospitality, Photo Area, Help Desk, Character Photo Booth, Candy Table, Food Service, Karaoke, Coat Check, Limousine Station, Guest Check-In, Red Carpet, General Cleanup
Parents, family, and caregivers are welcome to stay on-site provided they pre-register and have a parental consent or background check.
Age Requirements: Anyone staying on-site during Night to Shine must be 14 or older.
Guest Requirements: Each King or Queen is allowed up to two (2) on-site guests. If a King or Queen requires significant assistance or has behavioral issues, a parent or caretaker is required to remain on-site for the duration of the event.
