See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

God, thank you for making me with the love and intention of a perfect father. The fact that I was created to love you and be loved by you is more than I can understand, yet a gift I hope I never grow tired of receiving. Help me see your affection for me today, even in places I might have overlooked. Let me feel your presence in conversations and still moments, both as I work and as I rest. I open my hands to experience your love for me.
