We all have “if only’s” in our lives. If only I achieved this success or accomplishment, I would be okay. If only I had a marriage like that, I would be okay. If only people thought of me this way, I would be okay. We all want to know we measure up, have value, and are worth something. But when we look for that fulfillment in anything other than Jesus, we’re trying to fill a bottomless pit.
The good news of Christmas is that your significance has forever been determined. God would stop at nothing to be with you. You don’t have to prove anything. You are worth everything to God. It’s not an “if only;” it’s here, now, and forever more.
