From Gwinnett Center to Cross Pointe
Three months ago, we launched Gwinnett Church. In three weeks, we’ll be moving to a new location.
Kind of crazy, huh? Let me explain:
This summer, after looking at several different options, we decided to sign a three-month agreement with the Gwinnett Center to launch our church in October. We have loved being there and working with their incredible staff. Rather than sign a long-term deal though, we decided to launch for three-months and watch what God would do and where He would lead us in 2012.
A few weeks after we started, we were approached by an incredible group of people at Cross Pointe Church, just down the road from the Gwinnett Center. They offered to allow us to meet at their facility on Sunday nights beginning in January of 2012. Cross Pointe is led by Dr. James Merritt and is a fantastic church. They have one of the most amazing church facilities I have ever seen and as a preacher’s kid I’ve seen quite a few.
So, after three months, we’re packing up and moving. Beginning Sunday, January 8th we will start meeting at Cross Pointe Church at 6 pm. Everything we have been doing at the Gwinnett Center will now be done there. And then in February, we will launch Inside Out. In the meantime, we are very grateful to Dr. Merritt, Larry Herndon and the entire Cross Pointe family for this opportunity and I can’t wait to see all of you on January 8th.
